Our client is prominent in markets across Australia servicing the water utility, resources, aquatic and general industry sectors. They seek a reliable, organised and customer focused person with experience in the stores and sales environments.  Initially the appointment is for 12 months, but there is possibility to extend for the right person.

This is a role with variety and includes: monitoring stock levels, raising purchase orders, receiving and processing sales orders, pick/pack orders, receipt and dispatch and maintain store cleanliness. The role balances between 40% stores and 60% administration / computer based work.

Duties include:

• Responding to internal and external customer requirements and ensuring customers receive prompt and accurate service and advice
• Manage all aspects of goods inwards and dispatch, stock control and accuracy
• General data entry of purchase orders and receipting, sales order processing and invoicing
• Maintaining the stores security and cleanliness
• Assisting with the preparation of quotes for spare parts and equipment as required.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience in a similar stores / sales role
• A high level of customer service skills
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn software programs
• Attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a team environment and achieving groups goals.
• Fork Lift license (not essential)

Experience with stock control (purchasing and planning), internal sales and stores duties is essential.

Specific industry product training will be provided.
